For speech, voiceovers and quick sample recording it is completely acceptable in my setup. For serious singing work, I would choose something more specialized.Für Sprache, Voiceover und schnelle Sample-Aufnahmen ist es in meinem Setup vollkommen akzeptabel. Für ernsthafte Gesangsaufnahmen würde ich etwas Spezialisierteres wählen.

I mainly use the MB 7 Beta for voiceovers, spoken material and quick custom samples. If I need a clap, finger snap or another small sound for a production, I can record it quickly instead of searching through sample libraries.Ich nutze das MB 7 Beta hauptsächlich für Voiceover, gesprochene Aufnahmen und schnelle eigene Samples. Wenn ich für eine Produktion einen Clap, Fingerschnipsen oder einen anderen kleinen Sound brauche, kann ich ihn damit schnell selbst aufnehmen, statt lange in Sample-Libraries zu suchen.

To be fair, part of its role in the studio is simply that I make music and wanted a microphone available. Together with my Scarlett Solo I find the signal pleasantly low-noise for my everyday use. As a dynamic microphone it also does not need 48 V phantom power, so the setup stays simple.Zusammen mit meinem Scarlett Solo empfinde ich das Signal für meinen Alltagsgebrauch als angenehm rauscharm. I am not a singer, so I do not want to act as if I can make a definitive judgement about long musical vocal recordings with this microphone. For that job I believe there are better, more dedicated alternatives.Ich bin kein Sänger und möchte deshalb nicht so tun, als könnte ich lange musikalische Gesangsaufnahmen mit diesem Mikrofon endgültig beurteilen. Für diesen Einsatzzweck gibt es meiner Einschätzung nach bessere und gezielter ausgelegte Alternativen.

For continuing work on VOKYRA I want a microphone that is more focused on singing and sustained musical notes. The MB 7 Beta can stay for everyday voice and sample work while a second microphone takes over the vocal role.Für die weitere Arbeit an VOKYRA möchte ich langfristig ein Mikrofon, das stärker auf Gesang und gehaltene musikalische Töne ausgelegt ist. Das MB 7 Beta kann dann weiterhin Voiceover und Sample-Aufnahmen übernehmen, während ein zweites Mikrofon die Vocal-Rolle bekommt.
Would I recommend it?Würde ich es empfehlen?
For spoken audio, voiceovers and simple custom samples: yes. If singing is the main purpose, I would look specifically for a microphone designed for that role.Für Sprache, Voiceover und einfache eigene Samples: ja. Wenn Gesang der Hauptzweck ist, würde ich gezielt nach einem dafür ausgelegten Mikrofon suchen.
