I have used the ATH-M30X since 2018. Over that time I learned exactly how my mixes translate on them. The headphones and my production style have effectively grown together, and they are one of the reasons my music sounds the way it does today.Ich nutze den ATH-M30X seit 2018. Über die Jahre habe ich sehr genau gelernt, wie meine Mixe darauf reagieren. Die Kopfhörer und mein Produktionsstil sind praktisch miteinander gewachsen und sie sind mit ein Grund dafür, dass meine Musik heute so klingt, wie sie klingt.
How I use themWie ich sie nutze
I mainly produce on my studio monitors and use the ATH-M30X again during the final mix check. That second perspective helps me notice individual frequency areas and make small final adjustments.Ich produziere hauptsächlich über meine Studiomonitore und nutze den ATH-M30X beim finalen Gegenhören. Diese zweite Perspektive hilft mir, einzelne Frequenzbereiche noch einmal anders zu beurteilen und kleine Korrekturen vorzunehmen.
What wore out after yearsWas sich nach Jahren abnutzt
After years of intensive use, the synthetic-leather coating on the ear pads slowly started to peel. I see that as normal long-term wear rather than a serious flaw. Instead of switching models, I simply bought the ATH-M30X again.Nach Jahren intensiver Nutzung begann sich die Kunstlederbeschichtung der Ohrpolster langsam aufzulösen. Für mich ist das normaler Langzeitverschleiß und kein ernsthafter Qualitätsmangel. Statt das Modell zu wechseln, habe ich den ATH-M30X einfach noch einmal gekauft.
Cable and constructionKabel und Bauweise
My pair has a 3 metre cable with a 3.5 mm jack. A screw-on 6.3 mm adapter made of metal is included, which is useful when moving between normal headphone outputs and studio hardware. The headphones can also be folded for storage. I personally hardly ever use the folding feature.Mein Paar hat ein 3 Meter langes Kabel mit 3,5-mm-Klinkenstecker. Dazu gehört ein aufschraubbarer 6,3-mm-Adapter aus Metall, was beim Wechsel zwischen normalen Kopfhörerausgängen und Studio-Hardware praktisch ist. Die Kopfhörer lassen sich außerdem einklappen. Diese Funktion nutze ich selbst allerdings kaum.

I honestly do not have a major negative point beyond the ear-pad wear after years of use.Einen wirklich großen Kritikpunkt habe ich tatsächlich nicht – abgesehen vom Verschleiß der Ohrpolster nach vielen Jahren Nutzung.
Would I buy them again?Würde ich sie wieder kaufen?
Yes. I already did. They have been one of the most consistent pieces of my studio since 2018.Ja. Genau das habe ich bereits getan. Seit 2018 gehören sie zu den konstantesten Teilen meines Studios.
